Many aspiring healers have powerful life experience and meaningful training
— but they don't know how to bring it together into a coherent practice.
You may feel the pull toward healing work.
You may have studied Reiki, energy work, coaching, bodywork, shamanic practice, or therapeutic modalities.
You may have walked through your own wounds and come out changed.
And yet...
-
You’re not sure what kind of healer you are
-
Your work feels scattered or undefined
-
You borrow language or frameworks from others
-
You sense there is something uniquely yours — but it isn’t clear yet
Soul Medicine is designed for this threshold.

Soul Medicine helps you bring together what you’ve lived and what you’ve learned into a healing practice that feels clear, grounded, and truly your own.
What Makes Soul Medicine Different
Many healing trainings teach a system, modality, or lineage.
Soul Medicine focuses on something different.
Rather than training you to follow a single framework, this program helps you integrate your life experience, training, and insight into a coherent healing practice that is uniquely your own.
You will not be handed a script, but guided to discover and structure your medicine.
For this reason, Soul Medicine is offered as a small cohort mentorship so that each participant receives meaningful attention and guidance.

The Origin of Soul Medicine
The approach behind Soul Medicine emerged through Bob Vetter’s decades of work as both a cultural anthropologist studying traditional healing systems and a practitioner on his own healing path.
After years of studying many different healing traditions, Bob found himself facing a difficult question.
Despite everything he had learned, he wondered whether it was truly possible to practice healing in a way that was authentic and ethically grounded without simply copying the methods of other cultures or teachers.
The answer came slowly through reflection on his own journey.
He began to see that the most meaningful healing work he could offer did not come from reproducing someone else’s system, but from integrating the teachings he had received with the lived experience of his own healing.
From that realization, a simple insight emerged:
Your own healing journey may be the key to discovering
the medicine you are meant to offer.
At its heart, this work is about recognizing that your
own life — including the challenges you have walked through — may be part of the medicine you are here to offer.
Soul Medicine was created to guide others through that same process of discovery.

By the End of This Journey, You Will:
Have greater clarity about the kind of healer you are becoming
Understand how your life experience informs your medicine
Integrate your training into a more cohesive approach
Structure sessions in a way that feels natural and grounded
Feel more confident holding space for others
Be able to describe your work with greater clarity
This is not about adding more techniques.
It is about bringing coherence to what already lives within you.

The Four Pillars of Soul Medicine
Over twelve weeks, participants gather in a mentored cohort that includes teaching, guided reflection, experiential practice, and dialogue.
This journey unfolds in four movements.
Each one builds gently and intentionally on the next.

Preparing the Healer Within
Before guiding others, you must tend your own ground. We begin by strengthening the person who sits in the chair.
You will:
-
Explore your wounded healer story with honesty
-
Notice where fear or comparison enters your work
-
Develop grounding and clearing practices
-
Learn to protect your energy without closing your heart
A healer does not need to be perfect.
But a healer must be aware.
This foundation steadies your presence.

Working with Sacred Tools
Tools matter — when used with care and alignment.
You will deepen your relationship with practices such as:
-
Energy clearing
-
Soul retrieval
-
Ritual and altar work
-
Transforming limiting beliefs
-
Working with unseen support
The focus is not performance. It is integration.
You will explore how these tools fit your temperament and lived experience, so your work feels authentic rather than imitated.

Learning to Listen
Healing begins with listening. Not fixing. Not performing. Listening.
You will learn to:
-
Hear beneath the surface story
-
Track emotional and symbolic patterns
-
Trust silence and pacing
-
Ask questions that open rather than direct
-
Discern when to act and when to witness
This is where intuition becomes more grounded and reliable.

Shaping Your Unique Healing Practice
Your life story and your training are not separate. In this final movement, we turn toward coherence.
You will:
-
Clarify the threads that run through your healing work
-
Identify the people you are meant to serve
-
Structure sessions in a way that feels steady and contained
-
Begin shaping a clear healing container
-
Find language to describe your approach
This is where calling becomes form.
Not rigid.
Not formulaic.
But coherent.

What Participants Have Discovered Through Soul Medicine:
Melanie Rimkus, Alden, NY
Bob’s teaching style is kind, understanding, encouraging, and respectful. He meets people exactly where they are in their journey and truly engages in understanding each person.
The skills and perspectives I’ve learned from Bob have added depth to my own healing practice and opened new avenues for me to reach and help more people.
For anyone feeling the call to become a healer, his program offers both the skills and the heart-centered guidance to answer that call.
If you’re considering training with him, I encourage you to take the step—you’ll gain tools, wisdom, and a community that will support you in becoming the healer you’re called to be.
Pauline S., Cliffside Park, NJ
Working with Bob has transformed me on multiple levels. His teachings have illuminated the healer within, allowing me to recognize and embrace my own gifts and abilities.
I’ve developed deeper self-awareness, compassion and confidence. Bob’s emphasis on integrity and authenticity in the healing process inspires me to embody these qualities in my life. This journey has empowered me to connect more profoundly with myself and others.
In this program of study I have learned practical tools and insights essential for any healer. With Bob’s guidance, I’ve learned to trust my intuition and approach healing with humility and respect for the traditions that inform this work.
Any program with Bob promises a transformative experience filled with growth, learning and a supportive community. Whether you are just beginning your healing journey or seeking to deepen your practice, I wholeheartedly recommend Bob’s programs.
Kim Foster, Acupuncturist, Salem, MA
My work is in the area of energy medicine: Acupuncture and Bodywork. Bob’s class taught me how to care for myself energetically and spiritually and to find balance in my work and personal life.
Since working with Bob I’ve experienced the return of my energy that I had lost in life and through the experiences when I took on energy that wasn’t mine through working with my clients and in my relationships. He showed me how to prevent that from happening as well as how to remove it if it were to happen in my clinic. I now feel more prepared and protected by building a relationship with the helping energies.
He also helped me to use the things that I thought of as weaknesses in the past, now as my gifts. By connecting with the unseen energies around me and the elements in nature I feel protected and much more confident in the work I do.
Also, by facing my own heavy emotions and pain and trauma I feel I can hold space for others who are beginning that process in their lives.

Meet Your Guide:
Bob Vetter
Soul Medicine is guided by Bob Vetter, whose work for more than three decades has focused on helping people discover and articulate the healing medicine that emerges from their own life and training.
Bob has guided workshops, healing ceremonies, and mentorship programs for people exploring the intersection of healing, spirituality, and personal transformation.
Trained as a cultural anthropologist, Bob’s path into healing began through the study of traditional spiritual and healing practices across cultures.
His graduate research among Native American communities in Oklahoma introduced him to medicine people and elders whose teachings profoundly shaped his understanding of healing as something rooted in relationship, place, and community.
Over the years he trained in multiple healing traditions including Curanderismo (traditional Mexican healing), temazcal ceremony, Medical Qigong, sound healing, energy medicine, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and Ericksonian hypnosis.
Today his work is devoted to mentoring others as they discover and shape the healing method that emerges from their own journey.
